Bookings should preferrably be made through contacting us directly by sending an email to our bookings email bookings@idwalalam.com. Bookings made through other channels often include commission which means additional charges on your part.
Payments for bookings can be made either through internet banking or credit card. Guests are required to pay 50% for off-peak and 100% of the invoice for peak season bookings.
Peak season bookings refer to any bookings made during December/January, special long and sports weekends. A full refund will be paid to customers for these bookings provided we receive notification of cancellation thirty days before the booking. If a cancellation is not made thirty days before but still falls outside 14 days before the actual appointment, the customer forfeits the deposits but will not be liable for the full amount due.Cancellations for peak season bookings will not be accepted if the date of the booking is less than 14 days from cancellation date, customers will be liable for full amount of booking in this case.
Off peak season bookings refer to any bookings made outside peak season. A full refund will be paid to customers for these bookings provided we receive notification of cancellation seven days before the booking. If a cancellation is not made seven days before but still falls outside 48 hours before the actual appointment, the customer forfeits the deposits but will not be liable for the full amount due.Cancellations for off peak bookings will not be accepted if the date of the booking is less than 14 days from cancellation date, customers will be liable for full amount of booking in this case.
Should a guest decide to leave before the booked departure date, full payment of the quoted room rate will be attracted for the originally booked dates up to a maximum of three days in addition to the number of days the guest has already stayed.We advise guests to ensure that travel insurance will cover any losses due to cancellation.
Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behaviour or carelessness, or keys lost and replaced for security reasons will be for the guests account.
